Cover Story: Water is fundamental to the genesis and perpetuation of life. There is practically no livelihood on earth that is either directly and/or indirectly not dependent on water. While all livelihoods depend on water in some way or the other, there are several livelihoods that the water sector itself creates. ‘livelihoods’ focuses on this elixir of life to know its relation to the livelihoods of people, particularly of the poor and the issues that exist in the water sector.
